Getting Started

  • Determine the appropriate VoiceConsole deployment:
    • SaaS Deployment: An installation managed by Honeywell as a Cloud-only solution.
    • On Prem Deployment: An installation within a customer-managed environment. That environment can be a local server or a customer-managed cloud.
    • Hybrid Deployment: An installation within a customer managed environment running core operations but using cloud services such as analytics.
  • Learn how to navigate and perform common functions in VoiceConsole
  • Perform Initial Setup of VoiceConsole

Some features within this documentation are only available with certain license tiers. Contact your partner or Honeywell representative to upgrade your license if you wish to access additional features.

VoiceConsole SaaS Deployment Functionality

The major functionality differences depending on the VoiceConsole deployment types are listed below.

Single Sign On

  • SaaS Deployment: All users log on through Single Sign On (SSO). The initial admin user is created by Honeywell during the onboarding process. Additional users must first create a Honeywell SSO specifying their email. Then an admin can register the user within the VoiceConsole SaaS deployment by specifying that same email.

  • On Prem Deployment: SSO is optional and can only be enabled during the initial installation.

Device Actions

Device Support

  • SaaS Deployment: Supported devices include A700x and Android devices.

  • On Prem Deployment: Supported devices include A700x, A700, A500 and Android devices.

  • Hybrid Deployment: While A700 and A500 are supported, only A700x and Android devices support the analytics functions.

Additional Information

When you first install VoiceConsole On Prem, you have limited access and options within the application. To activate additional functionality, you must first configure the license type and either import or activate a license to ensure that all purchased functionality and languages are available.

When you first access VoiceConsole SaaS deployment, all functions are available as the license is already activated.

If you have multiple sites to be managed by either deployment of VoiceConsole, configure each site. Each can have multiple users, operators, devices, and so on.

If there is more than one user accessing VoiceConsole, you can also configure each of them. There are different permissions for each user role, providing security options for the various users.

To configure and run voice-operated devices, including Honeywell Voice devices, you must import radio firmware and VoiceClient files. These are later loaded onto devices.
