Load Operators onto Devices Automatically

The automatic-operator-load feature makes it possible for a Honeywell device to automatically recognize and load an operator onto a device when the operator connects the associated headset.

This feature is enabled by default. You can turn this feature off and on in the Edit Task Package page by entering the following settings in the New Advanced Settings text box.

AutoOperatorLoadEnable

If this is set to 1, the feature is enabled. If it is set to 0, the feature is disabled.

AutoOperatorPromptEnable

If this is set to 1, the operator needs to press a button on the device to start an operator load if the headset and the device do not match - that is, if they are not associated with the same operator. If this is set to 0, if there is a mismatch, the load happens automatically.

When a headset compatible with the automatic operator load feature is disconnected from a device, the device is put to sleep. If this feature is disabled by setting AutoOperatorLoadEnable to 0, disconnecting the headset does not cause the device to be put to sleep.

Associate Headsets with Operators

A headset is associated with an operator when the operator is successfully loaded onto a device through VoiceConsole or through key presses on the device while the headset is connected to the device. The headset ID is displayed on the View Operator page in the Device Settings section.
