Associate a Task Package with Operators

A task package can be associated with an operator. So, when an operator is loaded onto Honeywell Voice devices from the device menu - or by connecting an associated headset to the device - the associated task package is loaded onto that device, and the operator can begin working without having to load a task by using the menu on the device.

If a task has been associated with an operator - and the operator selects a different task to load by using the menu on the device - the task associated within VoiceConsole remains associated with that operator and will still be loaded the next time that the operator connects his/her headset to a device.

Associate a Task Package with Operators by Selecting Operators

If an associated task package contains a task that is not compatible with the operatorʼs device, the task package load fails. Ensure that you select a task package with a task type compatible with the device that the operator is using and that the device supports the task version.

  1. From the VoiceConsole tab, select the Operator Management tab.
  2. Under Navigation, click Operators.
  3. In the View Operators list, select the operators to which you want to associate a task package.
  4. Under Operator Actions, select Common operator actions > Associate task package with selected operators.
    The Associate Task Package dialog box opens.
  5. From the drop-down list box, select the task package that you want to associate with the selected operators.
  6. Click Associate task package.

If any changes to task packages associated with operators occur, such as a task update or task deletion, the associated task packages are updated as well. If you delete a task package associated with an operator, the association is removed.

Associate a Task Package with Operators by Selecting Operator Teams

If an associated task package contains a task that is not compatible with the devices of one or more operators in an operator team, the task package load fails on the devices that are not compatible. Ensure that you select a task package with a task type compatible with the devices, and that the version of the task is supported by those devices. Failures are listed on the View Devices Messages page for the affected devices.

  1. From the VoiceConsole tab, select the Operator Management tab.
  2. Under Navigation, click Operator Teams
  3. In the View Operator Teams list, select the operator teams containing the operators to which you want to associate a task package.
  4. Under Operator Team Actions, select Common operator team actions > Associate task package with selected operator teams.
    The Associate Task Package dialog box opens.
  5. From the drop-down list box, select the task package that you want to associate with the selected operators.
  6. Click Associate task package.

If any changes to task packages associated with operators occur - such as a task update or task deletion - the associated task packages are updated as well. If you delete a task package associated with an operator, the association is removed.
