Load Voices to Devices

A voice is preloaded onto a device after a device profile associated to a VoiceClient version 3.5 or newer was loaded onto the device. See Load Operators onto Devices Automatically. However, you can load additional voices onto a device for operators to hear while using the device. The preloaded voice is the default voice on the selected devices until additional voices are loaded.

You can only associate a voice with an operator if you have imported a VoiceClient version 3.5 or newer, which includes compatible voices.

Load Voices onto One or More Devices by Selecting Devices

  1. From the VoiceConsole tab, select the Device Management tab.
  2. Under Navigation, click Devices. 
  3. In the View Devices list, select the devices to which you want to load a voice.
  4. Under Device Actions, select Common Device Actions > Load voice to selected devices.
    The Select Voice page opens.
  5. Select a voice to load to the devices.
  6. If necessary, select to load the voice onto the selected devices when the devices either enter the sleep state or when the devices are placed into a charger. If you do not select this checkbox, the voice loads onto the devices only when the devices are placed into a charger.
  7. Click Load Voice.

The voice that you loaded is now the default voice for the devices. If you want to load another voice, repeat this process. That voice will then become the default voice for the selected devices.

Load Voices onto Devices by Selecting Device Groups

  1. From the VoiceConsole tab, select the Device Management tab.
  2. Under Navigation, click Device Groups. 
  3. In the View Device Groups list, select the device groups containing the devices to which you want to load voices.
  4. Under Device Group Actions select Common device group actions > Load voice to selected device groups.
    The Select Voice page opens.
  5. Select a voice to load to the devices.
  6. If necessary, select to load the voice onto the devices in the selected device groups when the devices either enter the sleep state or when the devices are placed into a charger. If you do not select this checkbox, the voice loads onto the devices only when the devices are placed into a charger.
  7. Click Load Voice.

The voice that you loaded is now the default voice for the devices in the selected device group. If you want to load another voice, repeat this process. That voice will then become the default voice for the devices in the selected device group.
