Load Operators onto Devices

If your site is using the automatic operator-load feature, see Load Operators onto Devices Automatically.

Before operators can begin using devices, their information (such as voice templates, individual settings, etc.) must be loaded onto the devices. You can do this by selecting one or more operators, operator teams, or devices.

Assign Devices to Operators by Selecting Operators

  1. From the VoiceConsole tab, select the Operator Management tab.
  2. Under Navigation, click Operators.
  3. In the View Operators list, select the operators to which you want to assign devices.
  4. Under Operator Actions, select Common Operator Actions > Assign devices to selected operator.
    The Assign Devices page opens.
  5. Click the change link next to the current device that the operator is assigned to.
    The Change Device dialog box opens.
  6. Select a device.
  7. Click Change Device.
  8. Repeat steps 5 through 7 for each operator to which you want to assign a device.
  9. If necessary, select to load the selected operators onto the devices when the devices either enter the sleep state or when the devices are placed into a charger. If you do not select this checkbox, the operators load onto the devices only when the devices are placed into a charger.
  10. Click Save Changes.

Assign Devices to Operators by Selecting Operator Teams

  1. From the VoiceConsole tab, select the Operator Management tab.
  2. Under Navigation, click Operator Teams. 
  3. In the View Operator Teams list, select the operator teams to which you want to assign devices.
  4. Under Operator Team Actions, select Common Operator Team Actions > Assign selected operator teams to devices.
    The Assign Devices page opens.
  5. Click the change link next to the current device that the operator is assigned.
    The Change Device dialog box opens.
  6. Select a device.
  7. Click Change Device.
  8. Repeat steps 5 through 7 for each operator that you want to assign a device.
  9. If necessary, select to load the operators in the selected operator team onto the devices when the devices either enter the sleep state or when the devices are placed into a charger. If you do not select this checkbox, the operators load onto the devices only when the devices are placed into a charger.
  10. Click Save Changes.

Load Operators onto Devices by Selecting Devices

  1. From the VoiceConsole tab, select the Device Management tab.
  2. Under Navigation, click Devices.
  3. In the View Devices list, select the devices onto which you want to load operators.
  4. Under Device Actions, select Load operators to selected devices.
    The Load Operators to Devices page opens.
  5. Click the change link next to the operator currently assigned to the device.
    The Change Operator dialog box opens.
  6. Select an operator.
  7. Click Change operator.
  8. Repeat steps 5 through 7 for each operator to which you want to assign a device.
  9. If necessary, select to load the operators onto the selected devices when the devices either enter the sleep state or when the devices are placed into a charger. If you do not select this checkbox, the operators load onto the devices only when the devices are placed into a charger.
  10. Click Save Changes.

Load Operators onto Devices by Selecting Device Groups

  1. From the VoiceConsole tab, select the Device Management tab.
  2. Under Navigation, click Device Groups.
  3. In the View Device Groups list, select the device groups containing the devices to which you want to load operators.
  4. Under Device Group Actions, select Common device group actions > Load operators to selected device groups.
    The Load Operators to Devices page opens.
  5. Click the change link next to the operator currently assigned to the device.
    The Change Operator dialog box opens.
  6. Select an operator.
  7. Click Change operator.
  8. Repeat steps 5 through 7 for each operator to which you want to assign a device.
  9. If necessary, select to load the operators onto the devices in the selected device groups when the devices either enter the sleep state or when the devices are placed into a charger. If you do not select this checkbox, the operators load onto the devices only when the devices are placed into a charger.
  10. Click Save changes.
