VoiceConsole License Introduction
In order to use most features of VoiceConsole the software must be licensed.
The license determines the applications, products, and versions for which you can operate VoiceConsole and VoiceClient.
You must have a valid license in place before you can load device profiles, operators, or task packages onto devices. The license must support the total number of devices connecting to VoiceConsole, not the number of devices per site. That is, you only need one license to cover all of your sites, but that license must support the total of all devices at all of the sites. If you need to add more devices, contact Honeywell for a new license. The license must also support the version of VoiceCatalyst being loaded onto the devices.
Once the application is licensed, the license type is displayed at the top right of the application screen. You can click on the license type for details.
You must visit the Configure License page after installing VoiceConsole to select the type of licensing.
- Cloud Licensing is available for VoiceConsole SaaS deployments. Licensing is provided by Honeywell via a cloud licensing server.
- Local Licensing is available for VoiceConsole On Prem deployments. The Local licensing Server requests license activations from a cloud licensing server.
- Legacy Licensing is available for VoiceConsole On Prem or SaaS deployments. Honeywell generates and provides a license file that is imported into VoiceConsole.
