Auto Create Operator
This feature is available in a VoiceConsole SaaS deployment. The user must also be licensed for an application that supports this feature. Refer to the application documentation for details
Prerequisites:
-
The Android device must be running a DevKit based app that supports auto operator creation. Refer to the App's release notes for details on this support.
-
To use this feature, the Operator ID Field Type type must be set to Extended (formerly email).
-
Auto Create Operators must be enabled in System Configuration. If this option is not displayed the user is not licensed for an app that supports it.
VoiceConsole automatically creates an Operator when a device connects if that Operator does not exist. The process is as follows:
-
The device must be configured to connect to the VoiceConsole SaaS deployment instance. Use the Android Device Config option to create a config file that allows the device to connect to the VoiceConsole instance.
-
The user logs into the device. This may be through an identity provider (IDP) for Single Sign on (SSO).
-
If the operator does not exist the operator is created from the information presented by the application.
-
Operator privacy consent is implemented from the Android device in this case.
Special cases:
-
If a field is not available from the login information the field may be filled in with auto1, auto2, auto3, etc.
-
If an operator already exists with the name, a number is appended to the name. For example if operator John already exists, the newly imported operator would be John1. Note that this only applies within the selected site. If there are two sites, each site could have an operator named John.
