Import Tasks
Task files from TaskBuilder and VoiceArtisan are imported into VoiceConsole and loaded onto Talkman devices or third-party devices.
- From the VoiceConsole tab, select Device Management.
- Under Navigation, click Tasks.
- Under Task Actions, select Import Task.
The Select Task File page opens. - Click Browse to navigate to and open a .zip, .vad, or .tas file.
- If you are creating the task from an existing task, use the associated drop-down list box to select it.
- Click Next. If you are importing a .tas or .zip file, the application analyzes the selected file to determine which files must be imported for the task to function properly. The appropriate files are displayed in the bottom section of the Select Task Components page.
If you are importing a .vad file, the Display VAD Details page opens. - Specify a new name for the task, if necessary.
- For VoiceArtisan file imports, the voice application name defaults to the name of the .vad file.
- For TaskBuilder file imports, the task name defaults to the name of the .tas file.
- Because task names must be unique, the default name will include a number if the task file was already imported into the application.
- For VoiceArtisan tasks, go to the next step.
For TaskBuilder tasks, select one of the following task components:- Existing if the component was already imported
- Import if you want to import a new component
- None if that component is not needed (only available for optional components)
- Click Next.
The Select Sites page opens if you have more than one site in your system or the user has access to more than one site. - Select the sites at which this task will be available.
- Click Import Task.
Be sure that you know the component's content before you import it. If the contents are not what you expect, the new task may not function properly.
The format of the options in the drop-down list boxes associated with the Existing radio buttons is file name/task with which that file is associated. For example, BARFILE/BARCODE is a file named BARFILE.fil associated with the BARCODE task.
