Manage Operator Numbers

An operator number is a user-defined or system-generated number that lets operators load templates onto devices by entering the numbers on the device keypads.

You can either manage operator numbers on a per-operator basis or in bulk. You can assign an operator number to each individual operator when the operator is first created in the application. If you do not want to assign operator numbers at that time, the numbers can always be assigned (or changed) later on a per-operator basis by viewing the individual properties page for each operator or by assigning them in bulk.

  1. From the VoiceConsole tab, select the Operator Management tab.
  2. Under Navigation, click Operators.
  3. In the View Operators list, select the operators for which you want to manage numbers.
  4. Under Operator Actions, select Manage Operators > Manage operator numbers.
The Manage Operator Numbers page opens.
  5. On the Manage Operator Numbers page, you have the following options to change the numbers:
    • Manually enter, change, or clear the operator number for one or more operators on the page by changing the value in the New Number fields.
    • Automatically fill in all of the Operator Number fields on the page with random, system-generated numbers by clicking the System generate numbers action. Click OK.

System-generated operator numbers are only unique within the site where they are created.

    • Automatically fill in all of the Operator Number fields on the page with the operator IDs by clicking the Use operator IDs for numbers action. Click OK.
  1. Click Save Changes.
