Device Profiles
A device profile is voice software combined with the device configuration file. Loading a device profile onto a Honeywell device gives the device all the software that it needs to operate.
- Voice Modules represent the type of speech (gender, language, and country) that an operator hears while using a device. Several voice modules are available with a version of Voice software, depending on what voices are loaded onto a device or associated with an operator.
- Voice software (VoiceClient or VoiceCatalyst)
- Operating Systems
From the View Device Profiles list, you can click the name of a device profile to view that profile’s properties. You can also click the name of the Honeywell Voice software to view its properties.
Configuration Parameters Order of Precedence
Users have the option to set configuration parameters in multiple locations. By default, the configuration parameter order of precedence from highest priority to lowest priority is:
-
Device Profile Settings
-
Operator Settings
-
Task Settings
This means Device Profile Settings override any Operator and/or Task Settings present. If no Device Profile Setting is present for a configuration parameter, then Operator Settings take precedence and override any Task Settings present.
After changing any configuration parameter setting, reload the task and/or operator for settings to take effect.
