The Device is Slow in Responding to the Worker
If the worker believes that the device is slow in responding, it may be that the application wasn't designed to provide audible feedback to the worker during communication delays.
The application should be designed to provide some audible feedback (beeping) to the worker after what the worker spoke is recognized and before trying to retrieve data from a network server.
