Creating and Editing Language Translations
- Navigate to VoiceForm Editor > Translations page.
- Select the language to edit from the Language drop-down. Supported languages include English (United States) (en_US), German (Germany) (de_DE), Spanish (Latin American) (es_MX), Japanese (Japan) (ja_JP), French (Canadian) (fr_FR), French (France) (fr_FR), and Dutch (Netherlands) (nl_NL).
- Locate the prompt you wish to translate and click the adjacent field in the Translation column to open a text box.
- Enter, edit, or delete text inside the box. You must enter text for each Default Spoken Text field that you wish to translate. Duplicate entries will not auto-populate.
- Click to another field or press enter to save your edits. The message "Translation saved" will appear above the table.
Use the Search box to locate a specific prompt. The search works across all columns in the table.
Do not change any of the text inside of the placeholder tags {} in the translated text. For example, if the Default Spoken Text is "enter {description}", the German translated text may be "eingeben {description}" with {description} remaining in its original format.
Text in the Default Spoken Text or Type columns of the table cannot be modified. These values can only be edited from the VoiceForm Steps, List Items, Plans, and BreakTypes sections of the Voicecheck tab.
Sort any column of the table by clicking the arrow next to the column title. For instance, sorting the Translation column will call attention to any prompts that have not been translated by grouping them together at the top.
