Correcting Mispronunciations

Change the way a prompt is spoken by spelling it phonetically in the VoiceForm prompt. Because the prompts may be displayed as well as spoken, however, it may be a good idea to use phonetic substitutions. This way, the displayed prompt will appear in human readable language, although the device will read it phonetically.

Changing Phonetics in VoiceConsole

Add or change these entries via task package entries in VoiceConsole at any time.

Adding entries in the Phonetic Sub. tab in a task package is a more global approach and does not require you to find all instances of a word or phrase. For example if "T-Wheel" is used in 50 prompts, it is easier to add entries to the task package in VoiceConsole.

Note that entries in the task package are case sensitive, so "T-Wheel" and "T-wheel" would have to be two entries.

Editing a Task Package
