ProGlove MARK Basic Wearable Scanner

The ProGlove MARK Basic scanner is a Bluetooth Low Energy device.

  • VoiceCatalyst 4.3.1 or later is required
  • VoiceConsole 5.4 (with ECS016) or later is required.

ProGlove Bluetooth Low Energy scanners must be connected using a FriendlyName barcode. Also, the A700x is always the initiator. No other pairing method is possible with this scanner. Contact Technical Support for a FriendlyName barcode.

The process below connects the peripheral using the Default profile. To use the Master profile, set the following:

    TerminalRoleOther=master

A700x as Initiator, Scanner as Acceptor

This method is supported on A700x.

Configure Task and VoiceConsole

  1. Set the following advanced parameter in the task package:
    barcodeport = bt_scan
  2. Turn on Bluetooth on the device.
  3. View the properties of the device and ensure Bluetooth is enabled. If it is not enabled, click Edit this device and set Bluetooth Enabled to "enabled".
  4. Select Pair this device with a peripheral.
  5. For pairing type select “BLE Scanner”.
  6. Give the pairing a name.
  7. Enter the FriendlyName which must match the barcode.
  8. Click Pair with peripheral to initiate pairing.
  9. Scan the FriendlyName barcode with the scanner.
  10. Scanner beeps when connected.
