Installing the USB Driver on Windows

When you connect an A700/A700x device to your Windows PC, the PC searches for a USB driver to install. If the PC is configured to search for drivers online and the connection succeeds, the driver installs automatically and the A700/A700x device is ready to use. If the automatic installation fals, follow these steps.

  1. Navigate to the .inf and .cat files in the USB Driver folder on the VoiceConsole software distribution and save both files to your computer.
  2. Open Device Manager and locate Talkman USB Serial.
  3. Right click it and select Update Driver.
  4. Select Browse my computer for driver software.
  5. Select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
  6. Click Have Disk. Navigate to the location where you saved the .inf and .cat files.
  7. Select the TalkmanUsbSerial.inf file. If there is a driver warning, or a prompt about proceeding, indicate that you want to continue.
